Sounds like a NIC binding order problem.
Right click on Network Places, choose properties, in the Advanced menu,
select Advanced settings. Move the 10/100/1000 NIC to the top of the
connections pane and make sure file sharing is enabled.
Then go to TCP/IP properties and make sure NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on
the 10/100/1000 NIC.
