TCP/IP Address Change

I have a Windows 2003 SBS with 2 network cards, a 10/100 & 10/100/1000. For
some reason the server was originally setup using the 10/100 network card,
and the 10/100/100 card was disabled. We just purchased a Gigabit switch and
I wanted to switch to use the 10/100/1000 network card, and keep the same IP
address. After disabling the 10/100 network card, then giving the
10/100/1000 card the IP address of the 10/100 card, then rebooting, I could
no longer access shares on the server from a workstation. I could still
access the internet from the workstations, and Exchange still functioned
o.k., but whenever I tried to access a share it said "The network path could
not be found". Any ideas on what the problem is here? Is there a specific
procedure that needs to be followed to change network cards in a SBS 2003
Server with AD & DNS?

Thanks.

Sounds like a NIC binding order problem.
Right click on Network Places, choose properties, in the Advanced menu,
select Advanced settings. Move the 10/100/1000 NIC to the top of the
connections pane and make sure file sharing is enabled.
Then go to TCP/IP properties and make sure NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on
the 10/100/1000 NIC.
