I've found TalkTalk free broadband to be slow.. no suprise there.

Has anyone found the Orange free broadband to be a decent speed, or is
it just as slow.

Thanks

I have been on the paid-for (and fixed 2Mb) Orange Broadband (formerly
Freeserve and Wanadoo) for years....it has been rock-solid and virtually
always gives the expected maximum speeds to sites which can supply this!

FreeServe -> Wanadoo aka France Telecom

Orange (Hutchison Telecom) -> Orange (France Telecom)

Q.E.D.!

Someone will be along in a minute to correct me and insert some
intermediate stages I probably left out.

TalkTalk broadband was dreadfully slow when I was a paying customer
(managed to escape within 3 months, without penalty), I knew it could
only get worse when they were conning people into thinking they were
getting it free.
