Not sure why this is newsworthy. Nobody seriously expects regular
service from TalkTalk.

I've been using my sister's TalkTalk connection for the past week and
it's surprisingly decent considering it's so cheap. It does seem a bit
slower at off-peak times but still very reasonable for web browsing. I
had a download going at ~650kB/sec which was pleasing, this was using
the TT supplied Huawei 1 port router which is probably crap. Wouldn't
like to use P2P with it though (didn't try).

Talktalk's 'off-peak' may well differ from yours or mine.
