I've just enetered into a 12 month contyract with BT for a telephone &
fttc broadband. It's a 40M download and 10M up.

There are no upfront charges (other tnan the £120 I've paid for a
years line rental and six quid to have something delivered)

The BB cost for the 1st 3 months is 20 quid and 25 quid from then on.

I can also move the service (at no charge ISTR) in about 4 months to
my new property (same exchange area, adjacent cabinets)

Time will tell if I've dropped a major biollock or not - the first
test will be if BT turn up as promised on 17th Jan to do the "Install"

Around here, the average install time for BT Broadband (not fttc,
we're out in the sticks) seems to be about a fortnight after the
promised date. Good Luck.
I went with Zen, and I had service three days early.

No reason to think they won't. I ordered Infinity on 20th December and
was given an appointment between 8am and 1pm on Tuesday 3rd January. The
guy turned up at about 10.45am and the job was finished by about 12.15.

Estimated figures were 33.6Mbps down and 10Mbps up - actual figures for
the last two days have been 37.43Mbps down and 8.26Mbps up with very
slight variations. I'm one very happy bunny!! :-)
