TalkTalk and Broadband

A relative is thinking of getting broadband at the moment they have a
pay as you go dialup with orange.
They also are on talk talk for the phone,would they have to ditch talk
talk and go back to bt before they could get broadband

Not if they still have a BT line, i.e., line maiontenance/repairs is
carried out by openreach.

However, TalkTalk do have their own (free) broadband and this *might* be
OK if they are not heavy users. 18 month contract though IIRC.
