I'm moving to France for a while and will have ADSL set up on my France
Telecom phone line.

Will I be able to use my UK purchased ADSL wireless router there? Obviously
I'll have to set things up again but are the ADSL services basically the
same? And will my ADSL filters be suitable there?

Lastly, anyone know if my DECT phone will be ok there?

Thanks.

Apart from the phone sockets being different you need to check the wireless
setting because France has some draconian laws on using certain channels.
This is because the military use them and they are quite capable of seizing
the kit.

Aparently channels 10, 11, 12 and 13 are OK in France. But none below
that.....

How do they detect that you're using a specific channel..? Do they drive
along streets looking for wireless networks..? I thought there were laws
against that ;-)

Besides, unless you're living on top of a military base, how would the
puny output of a wireless router interfere with (presumably)
well-engineered military-spec equipment..?
