I am adding a second w2k3 server to our already existing sbs2k3 server network. I made sure that DHCP is disabled and gave it a static address on server and set on sbs2k3 dhcp a reserved IP of the same. Now this new server we are adding is to be used for apps and storage. I joined the new server to sbs2k3's domain. No problem. But I noticed that my exchange server on sbs2k3 started acting up. I had to turn off new server, then rebooted sbs2k3 server to get exchange to function properly. Any ideas as to what may have caused this? Thanks. JJ JJ |

Which log should I be paying the most attention to
App/Security/System? Any particular error(s) I should look out for? Please look in Application and System log.
It's difficult to day what you should look for. There shouldn't be errors normally, so you look for errors / problems shown in event log and inform the Event ID. Further you say exchange server started acting up. Can you describe the problems?
