Server Status and Loads

Hi, I am looking for a relatively simple script that I can
run in ASP.net. I want to check the status of a server,
to make sure it is still up, and if possible server loads
etc. There are a number of free PHP - Linux based
scripts, but so far I can't find anything for asp.net

Any Idea's
