Slow Response of Programs on Windows Network
Greetings all
We have a network comprised of client computers running Windows XP Professional and a number of servers, some running Netware and two servers running Windows 2000 Server. We've noticed that when one of our clients executes a program located in a Windows share, the program runs slowly when it is run for the first time after a period of innactivity with the share. When we run the same program immediately again, it runs very quickly. When one of our clients runs a program from a Netware share, it runs quickly even when running it the first time after a period of inactivity with the Netware share
We've verified that autodisconnect is not what's causing this
Can anyone please explain what may be causing this and how to resolve it
Thank you
James Mundo
