Hi,
I was using the tftp daemon with RIS in Windows 2000. By default it allows write to tftproot directory. But with windows 2003, the default behavior doesn't allow write anymore. Does anyone know how to change the registry key to allow write permission? Thanks, Emma Emma |

tftpd runs on system account and tfptroot directory has
system permission. >-----Original Message----- >Use NTFS permissions...Windows Server 2003 has authenticated users = >read > >regards >Johan Arwidmark > >Windows User Group - Nordic >http://www.wug-nordic.net > >On Mon, 5 Jan 2004 14:25:37 -0800, "Emma" ><(E-Mail Removed)> wrote: > >>Hi, >> >>I was using the tftp daemon with RIS in Windows 2000. Anonymous is right regarding the system account
the tftpd service parameters list (9 different parameters) seems to be undocumented... See the following link for additional info http://www.wiredeuclid.com/print.php?sid=10 I also found a note regarding best practices for ads (which also uses tftpd) that recommended not to turn on the the tftpd upload option (but it didnt said how) Do not enable the TFTP upload option on devices. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/tre..._practices.asp There is a good article about RIS Deployment, written by Bill Boswell http://www.mcpmag.com/columns/articl...itorialsID=509 regards Johan Arwidmark Windows User Group - Nordic http://www.wug-nordic.net On Mon, 5 Jan 2004 16:11:05 -0800, <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote: >tftpd runs on system account and tfptroot directory has >system permission. > >>-----Original Message----- >>Use NTFS permissions...Windows Server 2003 has >authenticated users = >>read >> >>regards >>Johan Arwidmark >> >>Windows User Group - Nordic >>http://www.wug-nordic.net >> >>On Mon, 5 Jan 2004 14:25:37 -0800, "Emma" >><(E-Mail Removed)> wrote: >> >>>Hi, >>> >>>I was using the tftp daemon with RIS in Windows 2000.
