Hello All,
I'm having an issue connecting a Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop running Win2K3 server to a Comcast Cable Modem connection. Network connection properties are set to automatically obtain an IP address, as well as automatically retrieve DNS information, but when I attempt to view a site with Internet Explorer, it won't connect to the website. I have tried to match the configuration to an existing laptop (running Windows 2000 Professional) but I'm probably missing something. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Neil Dittmar Software Developer Aurora Information Systems Neil Dittmar |

what type of router are you using to attach to the carrier.
I have often seen the setup in the router require the userid and password to log on to the system (i.e. it's not in the workstation).
