http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;325473 I followed the above article to export the database succesfully however I cannot import the file to ANY 2003 server. The problem is that the NETSH command on the 2003 server always says "Unable to determine the DHCP Server version for the Server Server may not function properly." Using any netsh dhcp server command then quits. How do move my dhcp database succesfully? Jeff |

Jeff,
I remember I've seen this eror when I was testing DHCP export / import procedures. I can test it again to duplicate the error, but here is what I recall: 1. I exported the DHCP database with DHCPEXIM (from a W2K server with SP3). I imported the database using netsh on a _standalone_ W2K3 DHCP server with no problems. 2. The W2K3 server was joined to a domain I ran the import again and I got the error you mention. 3. I un-installed DHCP, re-installed, logged on as the local admin, ran the import again without problems. Adrian P.S. Make sure the DHCP service _is running_ when you do the import "Jeff Brady" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:025001c3c328$f38a4860$(E-Mail Removed)... > I am a domain admin which is a member of the local admins > group. > > >-----Original Message----- > >Make sure the accunt you are using is is a member of the > local > >Administrators group. > > > >"Jeff" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in > message > >news:0a4501c3c00a$c55788c0$(E-Mail Removed)... > >> http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en- > >> us;325473 > >> > >> I followed the above article to export the database > >> succesfully however I cannot import the file to ANY 2003 > >> server.
