Default TRENDnet Network Storage Server

I am implementing a TRENDnet NAS device, TS-U200 and I find that it is
hard coded for an IP of 192.168.1.2. This is not the scope of IP I am
providing with my router, 192.168.16.1 - 192.168.16.6 for various
reasons.

My question is, is there any means I can use to get into the TRENDnet
device to reconfigure the IP address it is looking for from DHCP?

Yes, temporarily change the IP address of your PC to 192.168.1.x where
x is any number up to 254 except 2. Open up the browser and go to
http://192.168.1.2. Change IP Address on NAS to what you want. You
will need to change the IP address of your PC back to what it should
be. I had to do this for mine.
