hey i had a switch-- SMC 16 port-- burn up today.. it was flaming hot
when i found it; i couldn't figure out why it wasn't working it was super-hot-- hot to the touch do you guys think that it was: a) a virus or something similiar? b) the wrong power supply plugged into the switch i've got a LOT of switches and hubs and all that; and i think that B is more likely.. but back in the day; there were quite a bit of viruses that could destory a switch.. like nimda and sasser or blaster or something right? are there new viruses coming out like that? i think that i may have had a lapse on AV on a couple of machines-- i can't find the installer or the CD-- im just nervous that it was some sort of virus that blew up my switch thanks aaron.kempf@gmail.com |
