Default D-Link bluetooth kills LAN over sat feed- how to fix?

I use a Direcway 6000 and D-Link DSS-5+ to run a LAN for two PCs.I attempted
to install a D-Link DBT-120B4 bluetooth on the USB port. The bluetooth
installed and a connection was made between the PC and a Palm Tungsten, but
the LAN connection was destroyed. IPConfig returns strange numbers. D-Link
support says the IP Address needs to be renewed by my ISP, but Earthlink
tech doesn't know anything about that.

The DW6000 uses address 192.168.0.1, and there doesn't seem to be any way to
change that. The switch assigns 192.168.0.2 to the first computer, then .3
and so on. Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, at least on this computer.

First - Is there any way to renew the IP Address from this end, and would
that fix the LAN?

Second- If that can't be done, would replacing the internet switch with a
router that has a variable default gatteway address help? I have heard that
bluetooth devices hate the 192.168.0.1 address (which, if true, seems really
stupid to me).

Last- Any other suggestions for making this work?

Thanks. Please post responses here.
