Looks interesting but costs more than a one-off solution, and to monitor
stuff on your own LAN you'd have to faff around with quite a bit of port
forwarding and the associated security risk.

I use keep-alive (www.keep-alive.co.uk) which is good value. It lacks the
reporting, but I know they are working on a new version that will run as a
background service and have some reports in it.

Wow. What a great plan! Personally I just use 'uptime' when local and
SNMP when I am away from the box. Still, some people may have bigger
needs . . .
