Default Windows-XP program sabotaged by MICROSOFT?

Hi,

I thought I was running a legitimate version of Win XP PRO
(pruchased on the internet) but now I am having my doubts.

Someone told me that Microsoft has sabotaged any system that it
believes is not legit but sending out false update packets that
eventually cause the system to crash.

If someone knows more about this, please tell me.

Sincerely, joe
