Have just managed to set up small home PC network. Main PC which is running XP is hooked up to NTL (Virgin) Cable modem, then to D-Link W/less Router. Other PC is working via a Belkin wireless adaptor and is running Windows 2000. I can find the Network place for the 2nd PC but when I try to link up with the Main one from upstairs, just keep getting access denied or path unavailable. All sharing is turned on. Anyone suggest a solution??

Try to see if the two boxes see each other via pinging to each other. Yousuf Khan |

On Microsoft operating systems more current than Win9x/WinME, allowing access by "everyone" doesn't mean "every system connected to the network. It means "everyone with a valid account on the share host"... www.practicallynetworked.com And turn off the html, please... /daytripper |
