simple usage of windows TAP-Win32 driver

I was wondering if someone could point me to some mailing list or code
that may have simple examples of how to access the TAP-Win32 driver on
Windows. I found tun.c as part of the OpenVPN distribution, however,
I was hoping that there may be examples of how to use it outside of
OpenVPN.
