I'm scratching my head.
I've got a Server 2003 network and XP Pro clients. I can't get internet access on the XP Pro clients...but I have internet access on my servers and through my terminal server. Here are more observations: 1. I can't get internet access from the XP Pro clients. All software and drivers are correctly installed. 2. I can ping the server from the XP Pro client. I can ping using the ip address and the computer name. 3. When I connect the XP Pro client to my other Server 2003 network I can get full internet access - so the problem isn't the client or its software. 4. The problem is the same whether I log-on to the client locally or log-on to the network. Where should I start looking????? KWME |

We need more information to help. Do you have a router? How do you connect
to the Internet? Can XP ping the gateway? -- Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "KWME" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:02ED29DF-1E65-4C6F-A5DA-(E-Mail Removed)... > I'm scratching my head. > > I've got a Server 2003 network and XP Pro clients. Hi KWME
"3. When I connect the XP Pro client to my other Server 2003 network I can get full internet access - so the problem isn't the client or its software." Can you explain this further? You mean joining it to domain? Might you be static ally assigning preferred DNS IPs in client TCP/IP properties? Issue nslookup in command line, then type www.microsoft.com and paste the output please, also paste the output of ipconfig /all Regards -- MrHusy http://www.experts-exchange.com/M_3788926.html "Robert L.
