If you have user profiles setup on the Win98 box, I remember that you
cannot "browse" the network unless you have properly logged in. If you just hit "cancel" at the log in screen, you get into the OS, but for some reason, some networking components don't work properly. Also, last time I had any significant number of Win98 boxes to support, I gave up and just ran NetBuei everywhere. It seemed to make the Win98 boxes happier. Just throwing that out there, may or may not help. KW |
