Go to fiber....

Reasons: Fiber will have lasting power. When everyone goes to 10Gbps,
you won't have to pull out all your wiring to replace it with some
wonderful new "cat 7" or something like that. Fiber will support other
technologies. Say NAS isn't fulfilling its promises to you and you
decide to switch or do a pilot of a SAN solution using fiber channel.
The fiber is already in place.
Another promising solution might be Infiniband.
