Need to make a choice between Netgear DG834N and D-Link DSL-2370B
routers please.

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Any particular reason to limit yourself to those two? The Linksys WAG325N is
on offer at ebuyer at the moment. Only three reviews on that site but I've
heard good things about them - so much so that mine is arriving tomorrow

I've been told that Speedtouch will have a product on the market soon.

802.11n isn't ratified yet.

They just might change it.

Unless you have to use their customer (no) support department, being
run over an 'over extended' scratchy VOIP link, which the support desk
will blame you for, then they will make you go thru all the things you
have already done & when that doesn't work they will release your
call. 48 hours later you may be lucky & get a call back but by that
time you would have either sorted the problem or taken the unit back
to swap for something which works....

I do hope my answer doesn't make any difference to your what you buy
but you have been warned. (bitter.....not me!!!)

Well if you want one which does NOT work properly with WPA and DHCP on
XP then buy the Netgear ( dunno about the d-link)

Alternatively, if you want an OS which does not work properly with WPA
and DHCP then install MS Windows :-)

(That's probably more accurate than the previous post)

XP seems to have little to no problem picking up dhcp servers, as long as
the tcpip stack is not corrupt. Vista, however is a different kettle of fish
entirely.......
