98First Edit. with NetGear 311

Installed card and connected to internet with no problem, then installed
firewall which crashed computer. After uninstalling firewall, have been
unable to reconnect to internet. FCP/IP seems to be messed up. I tried
uninstalling and reinstalling card, played with setting, but can't get it to
work, anybody have ideas?

go into the control panel

under internet options have at look at the settings (go though all the tabs)
then set everything back to default.

If all else fails re-run the connection "wizard" : inetwiz.exe
