When I try to run Alerter, it gives me the same message. I cannot start it. In its dependency tab in both panes it shows Workstation. |

In its dependency tab in both panes it shows Workstation. that can't be right. in my alerter it shows that it depends on workstation, but it doesn't depend on anything. sounds like something got crossed up in the alerter or workstation dependencies somehow. i have no idea how that might be fixed, maybe search the kb then contact ms direct. |

Just confirming that this is the default. > sounds like something got crossed up in the alerter or workstation > dependencies somehow. i have no idea how that might be fixed, maybe > search the kb then contact ms direct. The dependencies should be (like the other settings) in HKLM\CCS \services\workstation. Shouldn't be difficult to fix that by comparing to a "healty" service on the same computer or on a different computer. Thorsten |
