Default 2 wan 1 lan




HI,
i have 2 internet connections, 1st ADSL is limited to 5 gb per month
with 1 mb speed and the 2nd is unlimited but 256 kb shared speed,
i want to configure a server to share these 2 connections and use the
defualt connection the adsl and when it reach 5 gb the server switch to
the other connection, or when the adsl is not working for some reason
from the isp, it also switch to the other connection, i have a computer
with 3 nic on it and windows 2000 server which software i must use to
solve this problem and any one can help me on this i would be
cratefull,

There is no simple way to do that. You would need dedicated
harware/software to monitor and switch the connections. Nothing built into
Windows Server will do it for you.

Bill Grant arent there a software that i can configure it like ISA
server or Mikrotik router or some thing like that ?

No - you need hardware to manage this. SonicWALL units with the enhanced OS
can handle load balancing and failover such as you're looking for, though.

consider using a news client, such as Forte Agent, Thunderbird, or even
Outlook Express, rather than your current web forum (or Google Groups, or

You can mark messages to be watched, filter the views so you can see replies
to your posts easily, and search.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like; no authentication is required.

ISA Server does not do this either.
ISA can use only one external link.
