I have 2 business locations. I have used a pair of linksys RV042 VPN
Routers for group to group VPN. The cable Internet upload is only . 5Mbs and that just wont work for me. I have a wireless bridge set now, 11b now and soon 11g. I have successfully used the RV042 dual WAN capability. By bringing the other locations DSL static IP to the cable side, over wireless bridge, I can setup the router VPN to use the DSL supplied IP's. When VPN is set to Cable IP to DSL IP, it goes through Internet, when set to the DSL IP to DSL IP, traffic goes over fast wireless link. I also had to tweak settings like protocol binding so SMTP will go to correct WAN port and HTTP does not waste wireless bandwidth. My next step is to test an second alternative setup: I have installed a second NIC on my W2003 Server. The new IP is 192.168.2.100 and the current IP is 192.168.1.100. If I plug the Wireless bridge into the 192.168.2.xxx switch and the other end plug into the card 192.168.2.100, what settings do I need to make? 1. I would clear out the RV042 Dual WAN and VPN stuff. 2. I need to add a static route to the 192.168.2.1 router (a default gateway) to make all traffic to 192.168.1.xxx go to 192.168.2.100. (I think!) 3. Bridge the NIC's 192.168.1.100 and 192.168.2.100. - I have tried this, not sure what what good it is, did not seam to be what I was looking for. So once 192.168.2.xxx traffic is at the server 192.168.1.100, how does the traffic get to other 192.168.1.xxx resources? Yes, I have a working solution with Dual WAN on the linksys, but I need to see what performance I can get without using VPN. Maybe the 11g will be too much traffic for the VPN processing. Wireless gateway is WPA-TKIP so I do not need VPN on top of that. DavidKirchner |

I think you need to enable RRAS and modify the routing table so that both
networks can talk. -- Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Networking, Internet, Routing, VPN Troubleshooting on http://www.ChicagoTech.net How to Setup Windows, Network, VPN & Remote Access on http://www.HowToNetworking.com "DavidKirchner" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:229e90c7-41ca-45eb-a1d7-(E-Mail Removed)... >I have 2 business locations.
