Also noticed this:

At Virgin Media we take our customers experience seriously and are
always working to improve the quality of our network. Over the next
few months we are embarking on large program of maintenance work to
improve the speed and experience for all our Broadband customers

Yippee !

I keep emailing them to find out what is the exact date my 12 months is up
but all I get is automated responses that don't make sense.
Either adsl24 or post office package for me in the next few weeks. And this
is only the 2nd isp change in about 12 years. Stuck with NTL happily for
about 7 years and then virgin for the last year, not so happily though it
seemed to improve until a month ago and now they talk of omprovement
sometime in Jan 2008.

'If you want to disconnect your service, this will need to be done over
the phone by the Moving Team on 0845 454 1111 selecting 'Customer
Relations' when prompted.' That way they can persuade you to stay.

I won't be able to use that as I want to keep the phone number - can VM
numbers be transferred to VOIP yet?
