They have templates and the right paper and ink...a good printing
press...voila.

Actually it's kinda like many companies using freeware for name
recognition.

Hi DanlK! :-)

Do you know, what are the differences, between google apps (free
edition, family-group) and standard page creator?

I was trying to figure out, what are the advantages, but I'm a bit
confused.
I can only see, an advantage for persons who already has a domain.

Any help?

[this is only posted to uktb, as it is nearly free, not completely free]

I use http://www.nearlyfreespeech.net

I signed up a few months ago. I use it for very simple stuff and I've
only used one cent of the $1.82 credit I put onto the account when I
signed up.

No.
I use their standard free edition, do not use their Page Creator, since most of my
code is generated using Nvu and just uploaded.
I already have my domain names so I am not familiar with obtaining a domain name thru
Google Apps.
All I really need is a place to host my code and files, and the space is more than
adequate for me.

Suggest searching their official discussion group
http://groups.google.com/group/apps-discuss for any topics that you have questions.
