Default USB on HomeHub

Has anyone succeeded in connecting anything to the USB port on BT's HHub?

- The USB A connection. Looks like it should take a device but my usb
memory just powers up and sits there, I can't find it or address it.

The A plug is the rectangular one that you find on a PC, isn't it, rather
than the square one that you find on a peripheral such as printer?

Is it intended to have a USB phone handset connected to it, perhaps, for use
by VOIP?

Yes, the A plug is 'to' a device such as a stick (or fusion link as per the
book).

The square plug (B) would be the device itself - if you were using the usb
to drive it (rather than the preferred rj45 link)
