seven weeks ago this friday I arranged for a virgin media cable to be laid
so i could get broadband via their cable connection. they came that day and then said there was a problem. a couple of days later they came again and said that british gas had done something a few doors up the road and blocked off the cable channel. fair enough. Since then, i have phoned their 0845 number numerous times, and people keep saying they will get back to me, but they never do. i have also written a land letter to the complaints department asking what is going on, but no response. is there anyway of getting some response from them? I've seen their 'get cable' connection poster on the underground, and it looks the bees knees. Any advice please. johngood_____ |

One end of a leg is free to move without any control to do what it wants and at the other end there is an arse-hole. Moral of the story? Look further than what you want to see. Bill Ridgeway |

I found their service to be very poor and they didn't honour the price they quoted when I enquired about an offer I'd received by direct mail. At £25 for a mere 4Mbps it's massively overpriced even if it had delivered the goods (which it doesn't). I suggest you get ADSL. Graham |

I had a similar problem, but not exactly the same. In the end it took them 6 weeks to get the service installed! I would suggest you persivere (sp?) as I have always found their service to be very good. As you are currently not an actual customer, I'm not sure what I should be advising you to do. Perhaps a letter might help? http://www.virginmedia.com/contact/c...al&app=contact God luck anyway. -- Carl Waring DigiGuide: Full: http://getdigiguide.com/?p=1&r=1495 Free: http://getdigiguide.com/?p=4&r=1495 Web-based: http://getdigiguide.com/?p=3&r=1495 |

I had a feeling Alex would pop up eventually :-D I was just going to give you a freephone number for their sales team instead of the 0845 chargeable one. It's 0800 052 7000. However, I'm sure Alex'll sort you out ;-) -- Carl Waring DigiGuide: Full: http://getdigiguide.com/?p=1&r=1495 Free: http://getdigiguide.com/?p=4&r=1495 Web-based: http://getdigiguide.com/?p=3&r=1495 |
