Default Permanently change default Windows 2003 ping timeout value from 2 seconds to 3 seconds

I assume that this is a registry entry that can be changed; which one
and where?

Hello,

i think it's a builtin parameter in ping.exe.

Is there another ping.exe file for windows out there? Maybe some
source we could re-compile perhaps?

Why not just using arguments?

ping.exe is called from "NetVigil" network monitoring software, so we
don't get to use arguments, unless we can change the .pl script that
calls it and add the arguments there. It would be most efficient to
make the change in the registery so it applies globally to the
operating system. Unfortunatley, it sounds like this isn't an option
with Win2K3.
