netgear 834gt 1.02.09 firmware

i flashed to this latest firmware, and get better connection due to the
updated adsl driver, the problem i do have is the block sites function of
the firewall doesnt seem to work anymore, and with 4 kids its a must have
feature. has anyone else experienced this and found a solution that doesnt
involve flashing back? tried ubergt firmware, but no better than the old
netgerar firmware for connection speed, just found the gati firmware, but as
its only 1 day old i'm a little worried to try before someone else does...
