XP pro, ipconfig 192.168.0.1, is the host. ME, ipconfig 192.168.0.2., XP is
the host, me is the client. they ping each other, and me is able to share xp's files, but will not share the broadband on xp. a 3rd pc running xp home, as a client, has no trouble with xp pro as the host. why won't me share =?Utf-8?B?bHluZGE=?= |

Check the rest of the TCP/IP settings on ME. They should be: IP Address: 192.168.0.x (1<x<255) Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1 DNS Server = 192.168.0.1 or your ISP's DNS server -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Networking) Please post any reply as a follow-up message in the news group for everyone to see.
