Hi,
first: sorry for my bad english, I hope, you can understand what I mean.. ;-) I have a problem on some pcs with windows ME installing the virtual private network. On most PCs creating the VPN-Network works, but on some not. Maybe, the pcs with the problems are those, where in former times I had deleted the virtual private network card manually from the network configuration or the hardware window. What I have done until now: - In Software / Windows Setup uninstall dial-up network together with virtual private network and reboot. - Then reinstall dial-up network and private network and reboot. After this there can be seen a virtual private network adapter from Microsoft and an associated TCP/IP protocol. That seems to be quite well. But, when I try to create a vpn-connection ( under dial-up connections ), the only hardware I can select is a ( real, built in ) modem. I cannot select - what normally is possibla at this point - the microsoft ppt-vpn connection as hardware. Has anybody of you an idea, what I can do to create such a PPT-VPN connection on these pcs? Thank you very much.. Knut -- "Freiheit lässt sich nicht verteidigen, indem man sie abschafft." Knut Singer |
