Default Making a Remote Access connection



Hi,
I have a Pc with Windows 2003 server where i installed a Domain
Controller , the Pc is connected with another Pc (Win XP SP2) with the
domain (cta.com) what i want to make is a remote access connection
from my note book with an internet connection
The Pc is connected with a router (ADSL) to the internet
So how to configure the Server to accept Remote Access connection from
other distant computer

Hello Omar,

If this is a RDP Remote Desktop connection then do this.

1. Open the router configuration interface.
2.Open port 3389 and map it ffrom your external IP to the LAN server IP
address.
3. On your Server 2003 box. Goto MyComputer and right click. Select>>
properties>> remote tab>> check the box that says
"Allow users to connect remotely to this computer.

That should do it.
