Default DNS Issues

I have implemented a new network setup and have several ip schemes
pointing to one dns server. What has to happen to get all networks the
ability to resolve host names? The dns server is on the network
192.168.10.0 with an IP address of 192.168.10.10. The other networks are
192.168.11.x - 192.168.16.x and the primary dns server is set to
192.168.10.10. I have routes in place within all the routers. I can
access the server from any of the networks via IP but the dns is not
working. Therefore, I can not get internet connectivity unless I browse
by ip address. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does DNS work for external URLs from within the 192.168.10 subnet? If
not, you need to set it to forward to a public DNS service so that it can
resolve "foreign" names.

Yes, DNS seems to be working fine on the 192.168.10 subnet. I have all
pc's using 192.128.10.10 as their primary and only dns server and they
can surf the net all day long and ping by host name.

It is things on the other networks that can not with using a public DNS
server.

Thanks,

ZS

Answered in your other post.
Please don't post the same question multiple times under a different
subject.

My reply was based on the assumption that you had a DNS machine at every
site and wanted to use it instead of the one single server. If that is not
true and you wanted to use the one box,...then the same principle
applies,..but just doi it with the one box.
