Default Network password

I have a network but I never set a password for it. All of a sudden I am
getting network password request pop up window upon rebooting the PC. Any way
to turn this off? Appriciate a suggestion!

Go to Control Panel | Network and set the primary network logon to
Windows Logon. Reboot, and log on with a user name and no password.
It won't ask for a logon again.

Steve thanks for the kind reply. Where exactly is the primary network logon?
In Network we have config, identification, and access control. In property of
client for Microsoft Networks we have log on to windows NT, quick logon, and
logon and restore network connection. in access control we have shared level
access control and user level access control. So, where is the primary
network logon?

Noel, I have the same problem, but am new to WindowsXP. If I can be so
simple, I click on Start, Control Panel, Network and Internet Connections,
and then I am lost. I keep trying to find the "configure" area you speak of,
but am lost. Sorry for my ignorance, and thank you!

Mary
This newsgroup is for those with Windows Millennium problems!! (not Win
XP!) - please repost your *problem* description to the appropriate group.
(tip - 'same as' is almost never enough, or even correct! - read the link in
my sig for what's needed)

two such groups would be
microsoft.public.windowsxp.network_web
or
microsoft.public.windowsxp.setup_deployment
