Default Virgin nightmare

My broadband has been down since the start of the month, and on
Thursday the phone went off too. It's impossible to get any
satisfaction from them. If you write you geta form letter and if you
phone you get someone in India who doesn't understand squat.

There is no proper e-mail address and the webforms are useless. I
call
in at the Virgin store today and although the girl I spoke to tried
to
do her best she could lglet no satisfaction either.

I want to get back on-line ASAP and some sort of rebate/compensation
for having to use the caff in the meantime.

You should blame the UK regulators and write to the EU regulators.
Its a problem UK regulators had created allowing unlawful mergers.
You will NOT get meaningful dialogue out of UK encumbants
who succumbs to lobbying (read bribes).

In my opinion Virginmedia$ should be broken up immediately
and sold off because as it stands 90% of the money you pay
them after the mergers is now being used to pay interest.
Only 10% pays for services.
They are completely bankrupt.
How anyone can allow such a deal without taking a cut
and back handers is beyond me.
Thats why they VirginMedia$ can't afford pipes going out of their buildings.
They are stealing your money to pay for their debts when
in fact they should be servicing your internet + television + phone.

The office of fair trading needs to step in and ensure
customers are not being cheated, and where they have been,
that substantial refunds are made available.
But don't hold your breath, they would probably
have taken VirginMedia$ money as well. Only an open
parliamentary public enquiry can bring it all out into the open.
The moment inadmissible evidence / closed doors are
mentioned, you know money has changed hands. Its that
kind of a VERY BIG corruption problem.

Tell me about it, I called this this afternoon re. a problem which
turned out to lie with my wifi router. When we established this I
mentioned that I'd got it direct from Virgin Media. A couple of minutes
later, the Indian lady told me to contact the people I bought it from.

'That would be you; you gave me it as part of an incentive not to
disconnect a couple of months back'...

Still got no joy. Fixed it myself in the end.
