Hello,
i've a Problem when i try to update the firmware of my MN-700 Router. Every time the manual-update-tool (MSBNDownload.exe - downloaded yesterday from http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814445/) gives an error. The current firmware is 02.00.08.0333 (very old). The Problem is that the Router will loose all saved settings when he is disconnected from the electric current. Thanks Fabian Frankfurt/Germany Fabian |

It sounds more like your router is going south. A firmware update likely
won't fix the issue that you are seeing. -- Jason Tsang - Microsoft MVP Read my blog for the latest in Media Center topics (and other topics that interest me) http://jtsang.blogspot.com More information by me http://jtsang.mvps.org http://www.classicsunveiled.com Find out about the MS MVP Program - http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/default.aspx "Fabian" <(E-Mail Removed)> wrote in message news:9DB58089-24DC-4AFA-81C2-(E-Mail Removed)... > Hello, > i've a Problem when i try to update the firmware of my MN-700 Router. > Every > time the manual-update-tool (MSBNDownload.exe - downloaded yesterday from > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/814445/) gives an error. > > The current firmware is 02.00.08.0333 (very old). > The Problem is that the Router will loose all saved settings when he is > disconnected from the electric current. > > Thanks > > Fabian > Frankfurt/Germany |

But what is the Problem? When i start the Update Tool, the Tool shows me the
Rooter und the installed firmware. But when start the update i get the errorinformation (after 2-3 minutes) that the update was not successful, cause of connection problems. but i tried the update with different ethernetcables and different lanports. |
