I have just installed inadym. The documentation and debug information is quite
cryptic, and I am not sure whether it is working. I have created a configuration file /etc/inadym.conf as follows: # This file was created from scratch by Mark Hobley username foobar password foobar alias myhost.yi.org dyndns_server_name gnudip2.yi.org iterations 1 verbose 5 I then invoke inadym as follows: # inadym INADYN: Started 'INADYN version 1.96' - dynamic DNS updater. The request for IP server: GET http://checkip.dyndns.org/ HTTP/1.0 DYNDNS: IP server response: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Content-Type: text/html Server: DynDNS-CheckIP/0.2 Connection: close Cache-Control: no-cache Pragma: no-cache Content-Length: 106 <html><head><title>Current IP Check</title></head><body>Current IP Address: 80.195.170.174</body></html> W: DYNDNS: My IP address: 80.195.170.174 I:INADYN: IP address for alias 'markhobley.yi.org' needs update to '80.195.170.174' DYNDNS my Request: GET http://gnudip2.yi.orgsystem=dyndns&h...=NO&offline=NO HTTP/1.0 Host: gnudip2.yi.org Authorization: Basic 1HashEditedForSecurity24 User-Agent: inadyn/1.96 (E-Mail Removed) W:INADYN: Error validating DYNDNS svr answer. Check usr, pass, hostname! Is the program using the wrong protocol? I think it should be using gnudip2 protocol. How do I switch to this? Any ideas? I prefer *dynip.sh* for updates, stunq to check mapped and, or external ip.add.re.ss and dig @some.ns my.host.domain to compare.
