Default How to set up routers



Hi, could anyone point me to a How-To for setting up routers?

I don't mean those small devices named "Router", with integrated switch
and all.
What I mean is, is configuring a computer, so it acts as router.

put this line < net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1 > in your kernel sysctl.conf
file;
point your client to your network interface(S);
configure your iptables rules on the Linux router for forwarding the
traffic between client and server;
