Hello there,
i have a PC with Fedora Core Devel configured. In this i have 2 network cards: one is Realtek wired 10/100, the other one is Wireless LG 11Mbps (Prism II). With wired everything is OK. With wireless, there is a small problem: sometimes, something is OVERWRITING or ERASEING config for it - ifcfg-eth1 - changes to dhcp, loses wireless settings etc, or disapears completly. Copying file from backup and restarting eth1 brings it back to life, but does not solve the problem. It happens at boot time. How to find what process is changing my configuration?? W.P. W.P. |

Don't think it's alpha, most of software if "marked" fc6, some fc7, so they are candidates for next (7th) release. W.P. |

Look at the date and time to find out exactly when it is happening. Look at the log files ( messages) to see exactly where in the boot process this is happening, if indeed it is in the boot process. >W.P. |

There is a huge gap between candidate and election as many persidential hopefuls have discovered. You are using alpha software. Find out what is causeing this and file a bug report. If you want something know with high probability to use do NOT use alpha software. >W.P. |

Is it around for testing purposes only? YES! Do you have the right to complain for a test release? NO! Have you eventually filled a but report at Bugzilla? NO! |
