My laptop has an RJ45 connector for direct connection to my dsl modem,
but I also have a usb2 wireless adapter. Is it possible to use 2 different networks at the same time, one wired, one wireless? For example, if I am using a p2p software I would want it to use my wired connection, if I open up a web browser, I want Vista to first try to see if it can find a wireless hotspot to use. Can this be done?? benn686@hotmail.com |

Not by default in Windows, which tries to pick the "best" network by metric. >For example, if I am using a p2p software I would want it to use my >wired connection, if I open up a web browser, I want Vista to first >try to see if it can find a wireless hotspot to use. > >Can this be done?? Only by IP address, and only by manually constructing the routing, a real PITA that's probably not worth it. -- Best regards, FAQ for Wireless Internet: <http://Wireless.wikia.com> John Navas FAQ for Wi-Fi: <http://wireless.wikia.com/wiki/Wi-Fi> Wi-Fi How To: <http://wireless.wikia.com/wiki/Wi-Fi_How_To> Fixes to Wi-Fi Problems: <http://wireless.wikia.com/wiki/Wi-Fi_Fixes> |
