Sorry to bother you all and I'm sure it will turn out to be a simple answer,
*BUT*: Round about midnight tonight 10-3-07, I suddenly lost my Internet connection. I can still access email, and the newsgroups on nntp, (obviously), but when I try to open IE7 it just hangs on my home page - www.google.co.uk and no other popular pages like Amazon, eBay, or even the BBC will open either. I have contacted my *new* ISP, [ADSL24, reseller for Entanet] and was rather surprised to hear the bloke at the end of the phone suggest I go and install FireFox then all my problems would probably be solved. Apart from anything else, I did not purchase an Entanet package in order to get such silly suggestions, so I'm seriously wondering if anyone out there can steer me in the right direction to get my browser going again, and I'm also seriously wondering if any other Entanet (or their reseller) customers have come across the likes of this? Have I jumped from Pipex's frying pan right into Entanets fire? anonym |
