Default Talktalk news access

Hello, thought it'd be easier to ask here, but does talktalk
have a news server?

I was all ready for signing up to vodafone at home, only to
fall at the last hurdle when I found out they have no news
servers

TIA

Not anymore.

They did have when they first started offering broadband internet a few
years back, but it kept falling over, many people simply signed up with
news.individual (though there is now a small annual fee) but before they
started to offer their so called 'free' service it fell over for a final
time, TalkTalk have just never got around to getting it back up and
running (well I haven't heard they have yet).

You can get a free account from news.albasani.net or news.motzarella.org
amongst others.

Hi, thanks for a fast response

Can you recommend any of these free servers? I only need it
for text only, I don't want ugly big adverts at the bottom of
my messages though, I remember a while ago signing up for a
service that was about £12 a year but it had silly big ads on
every outgoing message that you couldn't remove.

Cheers.

I wouldn't bother. Get news.individual.net. Will cost 10 euro a year,
which is barely more than 50p a month.

I've not noticed anything added when posting via news.albasani.net nor
news.motzarella.org, also I was happy with news.individual.net .

I currently use news.albasani.net in addition to the VirginMedia news
server, due to VirginMedia only carrying a handful of free. groups.
