For the first time ever, it just became actual Broadband.
Downloads at 118Kb/sec. Web pages appearing almost instantly. What happened? -- Regards, Harry (M1BYT) (L) http://www.ukradioamateur.co.uk Harry Bloomfield |

I find Tiscali is only rubbish around 6 and 7pm. Your speeds are still slow compared to my 750Kb/s downloads. |

DSL's speed tests show it consistently at 945Kb/s which is about as good as you get on a 1Mb down connection. -- Regards, Harry (M1BYT) (L) http://www.ukradioamateur.co.uk |

You originally wrote "118Kb/sec". I assume you meant 118KB/sec? (kim) |

Large one is kilobytes/sec. -- The information contained in this post is copyright the poster, and specifically may not be published in, or used by http://www.voipinside.net |

Little b means bits. Big B means bytes. k for kilo shouldn't be capitalised either btw. Capital K means degrees Kelvin. The maximim speed ADSL Max can offer is 7150kbps. That's ~ 893kBps. 118kBps is close to flat out on a '1 meg' 1Mbps connection. Graham |

My Tiscali connection is for the first time since we started subscribing to Tiscali, working at the 1 meg we are paying for - hence my surprise. -- Regards, Harry (M1BYT) (L) http://www.ukradioamateur.co.uk |
