Default Can't log on to network at startup

Hi all...

Every time Windows starts, I get the Windows logon instead of the Network
logon screen.

In order to access my home network, I have to Start>Log Off repeatedly until
it finally gives me the Network Logon dialog box.

Settings in System>Network "Primary Network Logon" is set to "Client for
Microsoft Networks" and I've removed and reinstalled the "Client for
Microsoft Networks" client under configuration about 785 times and it STILL
gives me the Windows Family Logon whenever I start the computer. PLUS I've
just fdisked and reformatted so there can't be alot of junk floating around
screwing things up at random (or maybe there can be-who knows?...) - anyhow:

Does anyone know what's causing this or have a fix for it?? It's driving me
nuts!!

Many thanks in advance,
SuZ

Carey, et al -

Thanks for the great page....but, ah, I tried every conceivable tip that
seemed applicable and the best I can say is that now after I get the first
"Windows Logon" at startup, I only have to log back off ONCE to get the
Client for MS Networks logon.

Have also searched MS Knowledge Base *again* with no reference to this
problem that I could find.

Any other ideas or is someone else experiencing this problem?

Thanks in advance,
Susie
