Default Also Networking ME



I am attempting to home network to ME systems without
internet - I have everything installed and ran the
software plus created the disk - I can see the system I'm
on but not the other on both systems - both workgroups
names are the same - computer names are differant -any
ideas? -

You also have to turn on Share for those drives/folders you want each system
to see on the other.

Share has been turned on - still not seeing the other

How are you connecting the two PCs? If by a direct connection between a
network card on each PC make sure you are using a cross-over cable rather than
the more normal straight through cable used when connecting a NIC to a hub,
switch or router.

try looking for the other computer from the scarch menu
ps if you have a fire wall you must let it know the ip
address you are using all ther best David
ps have just networked ME with win98
