I have a Windows ME notebook that I can't connect to my
network anymore. Hopefully someone out there can help.. System is win ME. Wireless card in there, will connect to AP, ipconfig says it gets a valid IP address. Can release/renew no problem. Can ping the loopback address 127.0.0.1. Can also ping it's own address 192.168.1.105. Cannot ping any other machine on network, including default gateway of 192.168.1.1. Machine uses DHCP. Have also tried with static address - same problem. PC exhibits same problem regardless of LAN it's on - have tried in my office and another location - same problem. Other PCs in my LAN can get IP, can ping same default gateway, but cannot ping this machine. Have completely uninstalled IP, the lan cards, etc. reinstalled the card, the protocol, same issue. Thought the system files may be bad, so reinstalled WINME from new media, reinst the CPQ drivers for display, sound, DVD, etc. edL |

I got this similar problem using a wireless card. The card seems working and
linking to AP. However, it just does not log onto the internet. Why? I need help! Thank you! >-----Original Message----- >I have a Windows ME notebook that I can't connect to my >network anymore.
